Coordinator
PDETh
Coordinator · WP1, WP5
PDETh is the regional public authority overseeing primary and secondary education across Thessaly, in central Greece. It manages 1,129 schools, 96,300 students and 12,000 teachers spread across four prefectures. The region was hit hard by the catastrophic 2023 floods, which damaged more than 110 schools — first-hand experience that drives PDETh's commitment to disaster education. As ALKI's coordinator, PDETh leads project management (WP1) and co-leads impact and dissemination (WP5), ensuring strategic alignment, financial oversight and quality assurance across the consortium. With extensive Erasmus+ experience and direct access to a vast school network, PDETh also hosts two associated schools where ALKI workshops and surveys are piloted.

Doukas has run more than 60 EU-funded R&D projects under Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+, with strong expertise in AI-enhanced education, project-based learning and STEM. Earthquake drills, first-aid seminars and emergency response training are already part of its school life, making Doukas a natural partner for ALKI. As co-leader of Work Package 4, Doukas designs and runs the three-phase student Workshops that bring AI-driven disaster education into the classroom.
